Curls Studio Etsy Store, this could be old news to you... but I have never written about this project for the blog and just realized it really should be given attention. Why? Because this project pretty much rocks. It started over two years ago when I created this shirt featuring the title characters from
The Legettes comic book I make with Joe Carabeo. The shirt premiered at New York Comic Con in April of 2009. I know it was a hit when J. Scott Campbell commented how cool the shirt was in-person to me. (It would really be great if one day he did a pin-up of
The Legettes!)
Fast forward to a few months ago... Joe and I did a photo shoot with the lovely burlesque dancer
Dolli Holiday to feature the shirt design. As you can see the results are amazing. Dolli looks like a real-life
Gwen LeGette and we had a blast working together. Definitely check her performances with Richmond Varietease and The Garter Snaps when you have the chance!
